This can be remedied by securing the lids of the NRWS carts with a ratchet strap, that our drivers will remove on your service day. It is recommended to store carts inside a shed or garage between service days. Freeze food scraps and place in garbage when taking cart to the street for service day.
Don’t leave trash, groceries or animal feed in your cart. Keep garbage cans clean and deodorize them with bleach or ammonia. Don’t leave any scented products outside, even non-food items such as suntan lotion, insect repellent, soap or candles. Keep barbecue grills clean. Keep pet food and pets inside. Securely block access to potential crawl spaces under decks and buildings. Consider installing motion-detector alarms, electric fencing or motion activated sprinklers.
